AN EPIC RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER
In memory of those in our lives that are suffering or have suffered from cancer, I have registered to participate in riding and raising money for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a cycling journey throughout Victoria's scenic countryside, a 200km round trip over two days.
My training had been going well until around 7 weeks ago when I was hit by a car whilst out cycling, luckily no broken bones! Someone up there was looking out for me.... As I continue my recovery and physio each week I know this ride will be a challenge for me in a number of ways, but I intend to give it everything I can. I hope that the little bit I have to offer will make a big difference to someone suffering. Generosity to date has been awesome, and I'd like to personally thank Jo Baxas for the use of her spare Bike to start training again.
I'd like to ask you to help me in contributing to this history-making event with a donation, no matter how small or large, it is going to a great cause.
Thank you in advance for your help.
To my DAD and friend John Herbert who are currently fighting the fight and in memory of my Grandfather, Grandmother, Father in-law, Brother in-law, work colleague John Reid you are always in my thoughts and especially on every ride.
