You may or may not know this about me but my family the 'Harrison's' have been touched way too many times by the ugly 'C' word. Both of my parents have struggled over the last 5 years with various forms of cancer. My mother is still fighting to beat bowel & liver cancer, and so far she is winning the battle, however my father was not so lucky and he passed away in June 2010 due to a long and painful battle with prostate cancer.

I've decided to do something, in memory of my father, and fight back and help those that are still struggling to overcome Cancer's terrible hold it has on people's lives. I'm going to ride 240kms in two days in October and will be asking for donations from everyone I know to support me on The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the only public hospital in Australia solely dedicated to cancer.

The Ride is a cycling journey throughout Victoria's scenic countryside that I am embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!
