Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer
Update October 13 2012
Only 2 weeks to go and as ready as I will ever be for the big ride! Our last team ride today in the beautiful north east of Victoria - riding from Beechworth to Myrtelford and return up the big hill from Everton to Beechworth in preparation for the hills on the ride! Thanks again to everyone who has supported our team in memory of Cinty.
Update September 2012
Thank you to all the wonderdul people who have supported our team to ride in the event in October. We have been busy training - sometimes alone, but often together. The event is in 6 weeks and we are ready to go!
We ride in memory of Cinty and also for the many family and friends who have also been touched by cancer - we ride to support Peter Mac to find a cure.
Update: 24th December 2011, Cinty Humphries lost her battle - she fought it to the very last breath. We ride with even greater resolve - to fight this disease.
Earlier this year our sister in law Cinty was diagnosed with incurable stomach cancer. Throughout the past 8 months she has faced an enormous challenge with courage and a positive outlook and been an inspiration to us all.
A group of family and friends have joined with Cinty, and our brother Mark, to raise money for Peter MacCallum. We will embark on a 200 km bike ride in 2012 as part of the Ride to Conquer Cancer to support the critical work of the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre; Mark has named our team Ride2fight - to fight for Cinty and to fight the disease.
Please partner with us by contributing a donation which will provide Peter Mac with the funds required to continue research, clinical trials, and innovative new treatments in cancer care.
