Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Last year my sister-in-law Cinty was one of 28,000 Victorians diagnosed with cancer. She found out in March 2011 that she had an aggressive stomach cancer, and like 80% of people with this form of cancer it was discovered too late for any treatment to offer her a cure. Cinty passed away on Christmas Eve last year, only nine months after her diagnosis. She was 48 years old.
Before Cinty passed away she and my brother Mark became inspired to start a team for The Ride to Conquer Cancer. Even though Cinty knew that she would not benefit from the promising treatments that are being worked on world-wide, she wanted to be able to make a difference for others who will face a diagnosis of cancer in the future. Together Cinty and Mark inspired 14 family and friends to make a team - TEAM CINTY - and I became a part of it.
Cinty imagined a cancer-free tomorrow was possible, and I want to help to make it a reality. Every contribution counts, no matter how small. Donations over $2 are tax deductible and 100% of the funds I raise go directly to support Peter Mac, the only public hospital in Australia solely dedicated to cancer.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal page.
