Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?

Hi and welcome to my Personal Page! My name is Kim Tattersall and I will be participating in The Ride to Conquer Cancer for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.  My conquest will see me on a cycling journey thoughout Victoria's scenic countryside from Melbourne to the Yarra Valley on October 27-28th 2012. 

I am part of a small team of close friends and family which is called TUNGA'S TROOPS.  Our inspiration and motivation is the friendship and love of someone very close to us all.  John Wren, our most dearest friend, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma, which is the most common form of haematological or blood cancer in Australia.  John is the friend everyone wants.  He has the most wonderful personality, has such a big heart and you know when you are with John that life is pretty fantastic.  He has such a postive and upbeat outlook and this continues even with everything he and Deb and the kids have gone through over the past couple of years.  The Wrens have been part of our family for over 35 years and as you can imagine we have had many highs and lows.  This low is one that we are facing together and we will do everything we can to help not only John but others who face this terrible disease. It is our turn to show John our love and appreciation for him by completing our ride to Conquer Cancer.  Our team name, TUNGA'S TROOPS, has been created from John's hometown Tungamah which is a small town in North Victoria.

In order for Tunga's Troops to ride in this history making event, I need to raise a minimum of $2500.00 so that I can take my place in the ride.  I am asking for your generosity and support to help me reach this goal.  If you could donate towards Tunga's Troops Ride to Conquer Cancer we would be truly grateful.  Please pass on details of our journey to family, friends or employers as cancer will affect 1 in 2 people in their lifetime and we want everyone to help make a difference.  All funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support Peter Mac, the only public hospital in Australia solely dedicated to cancer.
