The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, is a cycling journey throughout Victoria's scenic countryside that I'm embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!

I am sure we all know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, this is why we all need to contribute. I have experienced the great work of Peter Mac, and this is why I am taking on this challenge.

I am riding because I am angry, frustrated & hurt and I want to channel these emotions into a productive outcome.

Angry, for all the good people Cancer has taken from us.

Frustrated, by my inability to do anything to stop this scourge and

Hurt, by the crippling effects from those affected that I know and/or knew .

Timing is everything, they say!

My best mate Drage has just been diagnosed as its latest victim, adding to the horror already being suffered by he & his lovely wife Anne, who herself has been battling, & hopefully BEATING, Breast Cancer for the past year or so.

For me, this has become "the last straw"! I just have to do something!

"MY EFFORTS ARE DEDICATED TO THESE TWO WONDERFUL PEOPLE, MINDFUL OF ALL MY FAMILY & FRIENDS AFFECTED"

Uppermost in my mind include my Great Mate Jack, my Cousins Betty, Skevi and Youlla, and my Cousin-in-law Lisa; all who are/were too good and too young to have to endure this horrible disease. Also in mind are my favourite Aunt Pantelitsa and my many, sadly to say, many relatives & friends also affected.

If one small donation positively affects families, like these, going through cancer - you have no idea how much it will mean to them, and you will have done such a wonderful thing. Any contribution is worthwhile. So I ask you to consider others that may have similar experiences to theirs.
