Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?

The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, is a cycling journey throughout Victoria's scenic countryside that I?m embarking on to fight cancer. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my bike, my helmet, and your generosity, a real impact will be made.

I am part of a small team of close friends which is TUNGA'S TROOPS who also ride with the same motivation and inspiration as myself. The inspiration is the friendship and love of someone close to us all. The Tunga's Troops has been formed together and decided to show our support in the battle against cancer. Our close friend John Wren has been diagnosed with Lymphoma which is the most common form of haematological or blood cancer in Australia, and the sixth most common form of cancer overall. John is the life of the party and has an infectious personality to all that come into contact with him. John possesses a positive and upbeat outlook on life, even after all he and his family have endured over the last few years. It is a great honour and privilege to be able to call John Wren not a friend but a member of our family. John supports everyone close to him with his positive attitude and overwhelming love and support, now it is our turn to show John our appreciation for him through our love and support by completing our ride to conquer cancer. The name Tungas troops has been created from Johns home town Tungamah a small town in the north of Victoria.

In order for Tungas Troops to be able to ride in this history making event we need to raise a minimum of $2500.00 to be able to take place in the ride. We will need your help, generosity and support to raise the minimum amount. If you could donate towards Tungas Troops ride to conquer cancer we will be truly grateful. Please pass on details of our journey to everyone you know as cancer will affect 1 in 2 people in their lifetime and we want everyone to help make a difference. All Funds raised in The Ride to Conquer Cancer will support Peter Mac, the only public hospital in Australia solely dedicated to cancer.
