AN EPIC RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER
|
Support My Ride to Conquer Cancer?
Welcome to my Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is a cycling journey throughout Victoria's scenic countryside that I'm embarking on to fight cancer.
I am sure we all know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer, this is why we all need to contribute in order to make a difference.
I am riding in memory of my dad who lost his battle with Lymphoma last year, and also for my mum, who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the same time my dad was undergoing treatment. Fortunately, my mother won her battle with cancer, while enduring the loss of my dad. It was devastating to watch both my parents battle Cancer at the same time, only to have my dad not make it.
My parent's strength and determination in not only fighting their own battles, but also supporting each other will be my motivation. I will use their strength and courage to help me in this challenge.
My father's memory will always be with me to guide me and give me strength.
Please contribute to this history-making event with a donation. Hopefully the work of Peter Mac will lead to a cure so that no one else has to battle this terrible disease any more.
Thank you in advance for your help.

WOW, after only 4 days I have received so much support and donations from my very generous friends and family. This journey will not be made possible without them. Thank you

Day 2 of this journey and I have two close friends joining me.
I have bought my wet weather gear and new front and rear lights for my bike.
Next step, set up a training schedule and start raising some money.
Hopefully we get some more riders soon.

Hi have just registered my team, and have started to recruit members. I have a long journey to travel before I ride a single km in the Ride, but i know I have the support of my friends and family.
Thank you to those people who have already supported me.
