Welcome to Simo's Personal Page! The Ride to Conquer Cancer, benefiting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, is a cycling journey throughout Victoria's scenic countryside that I'm embarking on to fight cancer. I have already embarked on my own personal battle with cancer and thankfully, this was a battle I am very proud to be able to say I have won. But like so many events in our lives, it was not a solo journey and could not have been completed without the immense support, courage and strength of my wonderful family, special friends and many talented medical professionals who stuck with me every step of the way and never wavered in their faith in me and themselves to beat the evil disease. If there was ever a way in which I could recognise this group achievement and at the same time, contribute to the support and treatment of others, then this ride is it. For me, this ride is a deeply personal way of publicly announcing: "We got through this and we want you to too!"

The ride will be a challenge, but one well worth it.

I ask that you contribute towards this 200km journey and celebrate the successes we have already achieved and know that we will be contributing to many more to come.
